 UNDERSTANDING SURVEY

Today I'm going to show you how to understand surveys in English. So, let's start now !!

1. Definition of survey 
    Surveys are quantitative research using the same structured questions for everyone, then all the 

    answers obtained by researchers are recorded, processed, and analyzed.
2. Function of survey 
    a. To obtain facts from existing symptoms
    b. To seek factual information from a group, region, etc
    c. To evaluate and compare what others have done in dealing with the same problem.

4. Expression and sentece used in survey

    a. Questionnaire 

        A research or survey tool consisting of a series of written questions, which aims to

        obtain responses from a selected group of people through personal interviews. 

    b. Question 

        A group of written questions with a certain system that must be answered in writing as well

    c. Statemets

        ideas or thoughts to explain certain preferences or inclinations towards ideologies and

        perspectives that are non-objective. Opinions are responses to stimuli organized through 

        personal interpretation.

5. Type of surey 

    a.  Private Survey. Surveys are conducted privately and are not publicized.

    b. Omnibus Survey. Several short surveys are combined into a questionnaire and are 

        generally conducted at regular intervals.

    c. Advocacy Survey. A survey to champion an issue.

    d. Internal Poll. A poll was conducted internally.

    e. In-Home Polls. Interviews were conducted at the respondent's home.

    f. Quick Count. Information gathering activities regarding the election process and vote 

        acquisition are carried out by volunteers through direc obsevation at the slected polling stations. 

    g. Exitt Poll. A survey wae concucted immediately after voters leave the polling station. 

6. Doing survey 

    Survey on What Music Mean to You

    a. Background 

        Nowadays, music is one of the most globalized things. Various genres of music can be

        accessed easily according to what we want. Some people even argue that music is a part of

        their life. They think that music is a world that is hard to escape. 

    b. Purpose and benefits 

        - The purpose of this survey is to find out each person's intensity in listening to music and also

           to find out the average type of music that is often listened to. 

        - With this survey, we can find out how often each person listens to music in a week. 

    c. Result obtained 

        

 

            Out of 28 responses, more than 67% of people listen to music every day of the week. And

            about 7% of people never listen to music in a week. 

    

 

        87.5% of people think that music can affect one's mood. 

 

        Most people prefer pop songs over other genres. Only a few people choose to listen to songs 

        from other genres. 

 

        More than 50% of people are affected by their mood when listening to music.

 

        On average, 60% of people will feel energized when listening to upbeat songs. While 30%

        of people do not feel their mood is affected when listening to upbeat songs. 

 

        On average, 60% of people will feel energized when listening to sad songs. While 30% of

        people do not feel their mood is affected when listening to sad songs. 

 

        For most people, music is their mood booster. For the rest, they just follow their moods and

        there are other reasons. 

 

        From some of the answers given, Tulus is the top favorite singer that they like. The rest have

        their own favorite singers. 

    d. Conclution 

        The conclusion of this survey is that we can know that the intensity of listening to music

        varies from person to person. The genres of music they listen to also vary, but on

        average they prefer to listen to music with the pop genre compared to other genres. 

   e. Narative 

       This report is the result of my survey about music. Through this survey, we can find out 

       whether everyone has the same intensity when listening to music in a week, favorite singers,

       and genres that are often listened to. A total of 28 respondents have taken this survey. A total

       of (19) out of (28) answers stated that they listen to music every day of the week, the rest

       only sometimes. 85.5% of people are affected by their mood when listening to music. 60.7%

       prefer to listen to pop music compared to other genres. 57.1% of the answers said that their

       mood was affected when listening to music, 25% of people only on certain music, and the

       rest did not feel if their mood increased when listening to music. when listening to happy

       or sad music, 60.7% of people said their mood was affected when listening to it. About

       46.4% answered that the reason they listen to music is as a mood booster. Of the 28 answers,

       Tulus is their favorite artist.
